RULE BOOK TTDF
1. GENERAL DATA
The Torres del Foc Trail is a competitive mountain sports activity, organized by M&M Outdoor Events and Gesport, with the support of Calella City Council, on Saturday November 16, 2024, called in all its versions as TTDF + the its distance, with departure and arrival in Calella (Maresme).
2. FORMAT OF THE EVENT
The Trail Torres del Foc is a competitive race that takes place on the paths and trails of Parc del Montnegre and Corredor, which is contested on foot and in a single day.
The route of the four distances is designed and evaluated jointly with the offices of the Natural Park of Montnegre and Corredor, but may undergo changes until the last week due to inclement weather or changes in permits.
From the organization of the Trail Torres del Foc we are looking for an event with zero or minimal impact on the environment. We also ask for the maximum respect from the participants towards the environment they step on and towards the other people who are part of the event, whether they are other participants or people from the organization.
Under this framework, we ask that you respect the marked route as much as possible and do not leave it.
The organization will mark the entire route with marking tapes and collect them once the test is finished.
3. THE ROUNDS
There are 4 routes, all circular and with arrival and departure in Calella, Maresme, Barcelona.
21 KM - 600+ / DEPARTURE 9:30 / FIRST ESTIMATED ARRIVAL TIME 12:00 / MAXIMUM TIME 6 HOURS
35 KM - 1,120+ / DEPARTURE 9:00 / EXPECTED ARRIVAL TIME 12:30 / MAXIMUM TIME 8 HOURS
50 KM - 1,700+ / DEPARTURE 8:30 AM / EXPECTED ARRIVAL TIME 1:00 PM / MAXIMUM TIME 10 HOURS
70 KM - 2,240+ / DEPARTURE 8:00 AM / EXPECTED ARRIVAL TIME 3:00 PM / MAXIMUM TIME 12 HOURS

The TTDF route will be properly marked in its entirety with banners and ribbons. All the marks used will be removed by the organization following the cut-offs and the closing of the test.
The race will be marked and reviewed during the days leading up to it. However, we cannot guarantee that in some cases there will be problems due to malicious acts, for this reason, we recommend the use of GPS with the race track, downloadable on the website.
4. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
The Trail Torres del Foc is a demanding mountain event, both physically and technically, and is developed in a semi-self-sufficient mode. From the organization we ask that the participants have a good physical condition and are prepared to manage difficult situations typical of these types of sporting events, also taking into account possible inclement weather.
The runners participate under their own responsibility and declare that they regularly pass the specific medical tests for this type of race and declare themselves physically, technically and psychologically fit to face the race. Only on them rests the final decision to participate and start the Trail Torres del Foc. The participants exempt the organization from any claim or demand based on alleged actions or inactions of the participants or others who act in their favor. As well as claims or demands resulting from damages that may occur to participants and their materials, including loss.
In this way, the organization is not responsible for accidents or damages that may be received or produced by the participants.
Registration is open to all adults. All people who have reached the age of 18 on the day of the test are considered to be of legal age.
Each runner must bring the mandatory equipment requested by the organization, plus what they think is appropriate to face with all safety guarantees the specific conditions of the mountain and the Trail Torres del Foc in particular, adapting this equipment to the pace of each participant's race and possible inclement weather.
In the case of possible changes in the mandatory material by the organization, and always due to weather conditions that advise this, it will be communicated at the technical talk the day before the race, where the runner undertakes to be present .
5. INSURANCE INCLUDED
From the organization of the Trail Torres del Foc we offer all registrations for the test with insurance included. In case of federated participants, consult with the organization to assess whether or not it is valid to participate in the test.
6. IMAGE RIGHTS / PERSONAL DATA
Given that the right to one's image is recognized in article 18.1 of the Spanish Constitution and is regulated by Organic Law 1/1982 of May 5, on the right to honor, personal and family privacy and the own image, all participants waive this right, and authorize the organization and its sponsors to use and publish any photograph or video related to the purpose of the test, whether for advertising purposes, including social networks or for the reasons that this is considered more appropriate.
The participants give their personal data to the organization and the collaborators of the Trail Torres del Foc for the purposes of managing the race, advertising and information related to the event. Otherwise, he will send an email to uttorresdelfoc@gmail.com where he will be immediately unsubscribed.
Photographers or external cameras must notify the organization of their presence for accreditation.
7. REGISTRATIONS
The registration is personal and non-transferable, once the registration has been completed, the participant will have the right to make changes to the editing distance or claim the return of their registration until August 31st and this will be 60% of its total value. From September 1 (this included) the participant will not be able to make any type of change, including the change of edition, or cancel the registration under any circumstances.
8. CANCELLATION OF THE RACE
In the event that the event has to be canceled due to force majeure, always beyond the will of the organization, it will propose an alternative date within the same year, and the runner can choose between:
A: Run the new date proposed by the organization.
B: Transfer the registration to the next edition.
C: Claim the amount of the registration, and this will be 50% of the total value of the same.
The participant must inform the organization of their wish by email to uttorresdelfoc@gmail.com during the following 7 days from the information of the change or cancellation.
9. CUT-OFF TIME AND LIMIT TIME
The Torres del Foc Trail may have roadblocks at each aid station. If a barrier is not passed in time, the participant is disqualified from the race with immediate effect. Participants who want to follow the route, and who have exceeded the timetables of the roadblocks, will always do so outside the race and solely under their own responsibility.
The maximum times to complete the routes are:
21K: 6 HOURS
35K: 8 HOURS
50K : 10 HOURS
70K : 12 HOURS
11. SUPPLIES
There are different types of refreshments distributed along the Torres del Foc Trail.
IMPORTANT: the refreshments of the TTDF do not have glasses.
The number of refreshments for each route is:
21K: 2 refreshments
35K: 3 refreshments
50K : 4 refreshments
70K : 6 refreshments
12. GARBAGE TEAM
A sweeper team will close the test and remove all the markers always following the official closing time at all crossing points, any runner overtaken by the sweeper team will automatically be out of the race.
13. TIMING
The Torres del Foc Trail is a timed race.
14. REQUIRED MATERIAL
Mandatory material:
Windbreaker jacket.
Thermal or survival blanket, (minimum 1.20 X 2.10)
Water reserve container (minimum 500ml) or glass.
Headlamp or flashlight with spare batteries.
Mobile phone charged.
We also recommend: Technical shirt, long tights, whistle, GPS or compass, additional nutrition products.
15. ASSISTANCE IN PROGRESS
It is forbidden to be accompanied by a person not registered for the test, any type of external assistance can only take place within the official refreshments of the Trail Torres del Foc.
16. VOLUNTARY ABANDONMENT
Voluntary dropouts will always be at the own expense of each runner. From the organization we will put all the means to facilitate the evacuation of the participants. It is forbidden to leave the marked route without informing the organization. The evacuation points will always be the supply points.
19. METEOROLOGY
In the event that the weather conditions or other adversities prevent the normal development of the test, the organization reserves the right to make changes both in the route and in the timetables of the race, without this being a reason for claiming the registration by of the participant. In the event of weather conditions or other adversities, the organization will enable an alternative route if possible.
20. PENALTIES AND DISQUALIFICATIONS
Every member of the organization has the obligation to inform the race management of any incident it deems appropriate, and it will take the measures it deems most appropriate. The race management, referees, federative delegates, sweeper teams, health workers, refreshment coordinator may remove a runner from the competition.
It will be the responsibility of the Race Committee to establish the penalties.
21. DISQUALIFICATION
It will entail the immediate disqualification of the runner:
- Not participating without justified reason in the official award ceremony.
- Causing a sporting incident (aggression or insult) to a competitor, member of the organization, refereeing team or spectator.
- Willfully causing an accident.
– Participate under a false identity or impersonating another person.
– Throwing any kind of rubbish (ice cream, wrappers, etc.) on the route will result in automatic disqualification.
It will be the responsibility of the Race Committee to establish the penalties.
22. TABLE OF CATEGORIES
Following categories:
– ABSOLUTE Category (18-39): Male and female.
– Category MASTER 40 (40-49): Male and female.
– MASTER 50 category (50 and over): Male and female.
Prizes will not be cumulative.
In order not to delay the awarding of prizes, these will be delivered as the podiums are gradually completed in each of its categories.
The trophies or medals of each category will be awarded exclusively at the awards ceremony, participants who do not show up for the awards ceremony without justifiable reason will be disqualified.
25. MISCELLANEOUS
Everything that is not reflected in the regulations is under the decision of the organization.
The organization reserves the right to modify these regulations.
All participants in the Trail Torres del Foc at all distances declare to have read and understood the regulations, accepting each and every one of its conditions, exempting the organization from all responsibility.
